Boys Varsity Swimming vs. Ogemaw Heights High School

On Saturday, the Tigers attended the 9th Annual Stephanie Rice Memorial Invitational, hosted by the Ogemaw Falcons.

We couldn’t be prouder of this group after an incredible day of racing. A huge congratulations goes to Charlie Geiger, who was named Swimmer of the Meet. Charlie showed exactly what hard work and commitment look like, winning both of his individual events with personal-best times in the 200 IM (2:27.96) and the 100 Breaststroke (1:09.33).

What made this meet especially meaningful for us as coaches was the way the entire team showed up. With only five guys, these swimmers competed with heart and determination and earned a third place overall finish out of nine teams. Even better, every swimmer on the roster posted personal-best times, showing real growth and buy-in to the work we’ve been doing.

A special shoutout to Cameron Ransford, who jumped into his first 50 Freestyle of the season and laid down a 23.68, just 0.69 seconds shy of a state cut.

As coaches, we’re proud not just of the results, but of the effort, attitude, and the way these athletes support one another. This is the kind of meet that shows where this team is headed, and we’re excited for what’s still to come.
